Final tips for cruising with kids.
Pack bug spray and sunscreen. Miserable children can make for miserable parents!
2. Bring a white board. Once aboard you may be going in 8 different directions at once. Use the board to track where people are headed. And have a set time for all to show up at some common area.
3. Look behind the scenes. Some cruise lines do offer guided tours of the working parts os the ship. Check with the customer service desk at the start of the voyage. It can be educational and might even spark an interest in navigation, the hospitality industry or just travel in general.
4. Be prepared. WE usually wear our swimsuits on arriving at the ship for departure. There are times when your stateroom will not be ready for you at the very beginning of the cruise. But the pool is open! And there are usually snack bars around there, too!
5. Finally. Make Sure Your Include a parent’s Night OUT! At least one night should be spent alone. A cruise ship is a very good place to allow your children to try out acting independently. Or there is babysitting available on most cruise lines also. Or a kid’s club may be available.
Remember it is your vacation also!!!
